There is a pinned Jackson Rocker kayak on the Bridges section of the Poudre. For details and contact info in case it comes loose, please check out this thread on Mountainbuzz

Pineview - 3.9 @ 7:00pm on 6/12

There still is a gray raft wrapped around the right pylon on the bridge above Cardiac. It’s deflated so it’s hard to see but it is there.

Pineview 3.75ft @ 5:45pm, 6/11/07

imgp2649.jpg

We saw no remnants of the raft pinned in Cardiac today, so I’m guessing it’s been retrieved? We did, however, find a couple good waves to surf on the Poudre Park/Bridges section. River’s up and rising as we speak, with predictions well into the 4ft mark over the next couple days. Now’s the time to git some!

Goods can be found on just about every section of the river now; from the lower canyon, to the Narrows,  Rustic, and all the way up to Spencer Heights and Joe Wright. It’s on :-)

Pineview 3.8 @ 5pm, 6/10/07

Head’s up above Cardiac: There is a wrapped (private) raft on the right side of the bridge just above the rapid. It is grey and mostly deflated, and the raft crew was not able to pull it free.

Wood Report: There is new river-wide wood on Joe Wright above Aspen Glen campground. This wood comes up quick at higher flows. And there is also another river-wide log below the campround - the same one as last year. Othewise the run was clean yesterday.

Upper North Fork of the Poudre: Low [6/1/07]

Upper North Fork of the Poudre was at a Low level today. It was a great float trip; very scenic, but bring the fishing rods…

Note: All 4 (or was it 5?) of the barbwire fences were easily navigable.  There are at least 2 log portages in the top section, above the start of the rapids. The flat water paddle out takes a while at this flow.

The ‘10-footer’ is more like a 5 footer now. Most of the other rapids on the run are boney. Watch for wood and hope for higher flows.
