Great turn out last night at the public comment period for Glade Reservoir. Despite what the Coloradoan reported today I personally counted 400 people at the hearing and the overwhelming majority spoke out against construction of Glade and the destruction of our river. I finally had a chance to speak at 10:35pm and when I left at 11pm (had to work this morn) there were still at least 25 people waiting to speak.
If you missed last night and would still like to have your opinion heard, it’s not too late. There are two more public hearings:
Today at the Senior Center on Raintree and Shields- Open house opens at 4pm and public comment opens at 6pm.
Thursday at UNC Center (2045 10th Ave) Greeley- Open house opens at 6pm and public comment opens at 7pm.
I encourage you all to go to these hearings and/or submit written comments to the Army Corps of Engineers and have your voice heard. Ask the Corps to extend comment period by another 90 days and urge them to vote “NO” on the Glade Reservoir.

Boaters and river enthusiasts the time has come once again to defend the Poudre. As you all know, the EIS has been released and the public comment period is open. There are two public hearings in Fort Collins next week that you need to attend, and speak your mind about this project.
Monday at the Hilton on Prospect, open house at 4pm with public comment starting at 6pm
Tuesday at the Senior Center on Raintree and Shields, 4pm open house and public comment forum at 6pm
Go and make your opinion heard. SAVE the POUDRE!

but the Poudre is so delightful, so as long as you love to boat, let it snow let it snow let it snow.
Pineview: 4ft
Sportmans gauge: 3 ft
Joe Wright: In the famous words of Flo rida “Shawty had them apple bottom jeans (jeans)
Boots with the fur (with the fur)
The whole club was looking at her
She hit the floor (she hit the floor)
Next thing you know
Shawty got low, low, low, low, low, low, low, low
I would say that unless you are a midget in a mega rocker it ain’t runnable
Big south looking as good as Kim Kardashian’s kadunk-a-dunk
Snow on the banks and no boaters makes for a great day. All you fair weather boaters should pack up and hit a great little run called The Numbers. Patrick you are excluded cause you were the only other boater I saw all day.
On a serious note: Watch out for rocks in the road. There were some huge ones right above green bridge on lower narrows. They have been doing a good job plowing but still be careful.
