Well apparently I didn’t read the flows right yesterday and missed that Long Draw was opened up some more, and yet more today. Good boofs were had by all up on the Narrows today. Bridges looked like it was getting some good use today too.

A nice 1.2 feet for a nice relaxing float down Poudre Park/Bridges. Can’t really complain for September 16, though I suspect some of that flow is due to rain so I’m guessing ~1′ for the weekend.

Sadly I haven’t been up the Poudre as much as I should recently. Didn’t make it up Tuesday night, but the report from friends hitting up the Narrows was ~1.2. Hard to believe it’s that good in mid-September. Don’t put them boats away yet

Water’s staying pretty steady. Keep an eye out for moose in the lower canyon. We saw two along the road just below bridges putin tonight at ~6:20.

Sadly not a first person report. But Tim reports Pineview as being at 4.7 at 11:30am today.

Big water’s here if you hadn’t noticed We didn’t see any trees moving yet, but there’s a few big ones ready to go around Pineview (above and below it) so keep your eye’s peeled.

Dropped below 3, but thankfully no wind! Watch out if you’re trying to slide between the split rock in Poudre Park (above the 1st bridge below Hewlett’s), there’s log sitting on the upstream side across the entrance that’s just under water level right now. Not sure when it’ll flush out.

Didn’t move much today. About the same at 8am as at 7pm. Scenery was beautiful and weather ended up great. For those interested the gauge on Little South at the bridge has been at 45 the last two days.

More chocolaty water padded out the rocks and added more play.

Pineview’s holding at the 1.6-1.8 range. Seaman’s releasing at ~500cfs, so Filter’s running well.

And the season’s on! As was obvious with the number of boats out tonight. Remember, the diversion is flowing below BTO so the canyon mouth gauge will be low.

Can’t believe it’s now October and there’s good boating on the Poudre still. Had a nice evening float through Poudre Park and Bridges looking at the changing colors, sunset and enjoying the water.

Confirmed the water wasn’t in the lower canyon yet and decided this was even too low for me. 1.5′ seems optimistic for another 100-125cfs, I’ll throw out maybe 1′ as an optimistic prediction for tomorrow. But either way, river should be fun.

The Rock was a good fingers width below 0.5. For those die hards out there, Pineview/Bridges was still good today, so I suspect Narrows would be too. 1.25 +/- a bit. Can’t believe it’s September with decent water on the Poudre!

But hey, Pineview, Bridges and Narrows are still runnable if you find the right lines! Filter on the other hand is walkable, as tubers were proving.

Concensus was 0.6 on the drive up. Time to work on your rock dodging skills and think light thoughts!

Slightly lower today, but much cooler on the river than in town.

I’ll call it 1.3 plus or minus, didn’t get a great look on the way up and too dark on the way down. But it’s gone down from Sunday, though still good boating to be had up there.

Time to bring out them rock boats. Lots of tubers were walking downstream on Filter Plant Saturday since floating all of it was impossible. Water’s being pulled out of the diversion below BTO so Bridges was better than 50ish CFS reported at the canyon mouth.

I’m not quite ready to give up playing on the water, so updates should still occur for at least a few more weeks. Thanks Tony for the great updates throughout the season.
