Pine View 3.4 at 1045 on 6/13

June 13, 2009 By frenchy

What is that yellow orb in the sky? Is that the Sun?? Currently 61.7F, partly cloudy and breezy. Look for a high of 72F, remaining partly cloudy with Isolated T-Storms forming in the afternoon. Enjoy the Riv!

*Public Service Announcement*
The Pine View Challenge yesterday was “rained out” by Johnny Law! Apparently, somebody who reads this site has issues with people raising money for cancer patients. Go figure! You know who you are.

On the positive side- Columbine Lodge welcomed the Challenge to their property and the party continued! Pole Dancing and all. I encourage all boaters to stop by Columbine Lodge on the way up to the riv and support them. They carry food, soda and beer, and they are the current host for Poudre River Kayake & Canoe.

Today was just another day spent on the same old stretch of river with best friends and a whole new way of thinking about the river. It’s crazy to think that you can paddle the same river for over a decade and still have great new discoveries in your own backyard. Today was of those days. Thanks Ethan and Marty for the adventure!

Once on the river we found perfect flows, and proceeded to have one of our more enjoyable days of paddling in a real long time.
