June 13, 2010 By frenchy

Approaching SIX FEET on the rock yesterday and the gauge has leveled off around 4000 cfs for today!

Demshitz Jared Seiler and Dave Fussili are in town and they are doing a paddle with the bros today meeting at RMA at noon. Then they will be headed to the Lyric Cinema at 7pm for a showing of Evan Garcia’s new movie Dashboard Empanada. If you haven’t seen the Demshitz movies then you are in for a treat. No holds barred running of the biggest whitewater in Chile is what’s on the menu. If you’ve ever wanted to see 6-10 of the best paddlers in a row stomp the line on the hardest whitewater in South America, this is your chance.

Pine View back up to 5.3 at 0700

June 12, 2010 By frenchy

Bouncy at the rock, the mean level is about 5.3. Currently 49.5F, cloudy and WET- and I’m not talking about the Riv. Rain expected all day with high reaching into the 50’s. Snow expected in the high country.

Lower North Fork flowing at 705 cfs at Livermore.

Thanks Holly for a great time at Columbine! It was great to see so many old friends.

Pine View a High 4.9 at 0700

June 10, 2010 By frenchy

The water’s bouncing quite a bit at the rock, but the 5 Bar is exposed longer than under water, so I’ll call it a high 4.9.

Currently 56.4F, sunny and calm. They’re expecting highs on the plains to reach the low 90’s.

Lower N Fork back up a bit at 705 cfs at Livermore.

Friends in Saratoga, WY say the N. Platt is runnin’ higher than they can remember. Veteran’s Island Park in Saratoga is underwater!

Killer bridge wrap. Ouch!

Pine View 4.9 @ 0930

June 9, 2010 By frenchy

This just in from Camp Falbo:

Pine View 4.9 at 0930. Down to a manageable level- for most of us, that is. Currently 61.2F, sunny with a slight breeze. Expect the high to reach 84F with a 20% chance for T-Storms.

Slight drop on the Lower N Fork to 670 cfs at Livermore.

More kayak porn of the Narrows from the last few days. Kudos to Oliver and Xavier for stepping it up and laying down some stellar lines!! Thanks to Steve Tegtmeyer for sending these videos:

Lower Gnarrows is… um in, I guess

June 8, 2010 By frenchy

The Gnarrows saw some high water descents this morning and I just got some pics so I thought I’d share. Cheers to the boys who fired up Lowers Oli D, Javier and Haagen Dazen!

Middle Gnarrows Grrrrr face
Brad Higinbotham styling Lowers
Hignbotham was on the 5 o'clock news for this daring descent and I heard his interview was pretty entertaining as well. I'll post it if I can find it on the nets soon
