Hazardous Wx Outlook:
LARIMER COUNTY BELOW 6000 FEET/NORTHWEST WELD COUNTY-

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHEAST AND NORTH CENTRAL
COLORADO.

.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT

SCATTERED RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS WILL DEVELOP OVER THE MOUNTAINS BY
LATER THIS MORNING AND BECOME MORE WIDESPREAD LATE IN THE DAY AND
TONIGHT. THE SNOW LEVEL WILL INITIALLY BE QUITE HIGH…AROUND
11000 FEET AND DROP TO NEAR 10000 FEET BY FRIDAY MORNING. SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS OF 4 TO 8 INCHES CAN BE EXPECTED OVER THE HIGH
MOUNTAIN PASSES…HEAVIEST OVER NORTHERN PARK COUNTY. THERE COULD
BE AN EMBEDDED THUNDERSTORM WHICH MAY RESULT IN A QUICK BURST OF
HEAVIER SNOW.

RAIN SHOWERS WILL SPREAD OVER THE PLAINS TONIGHT WITH RAINFALL AMOUNTS
ANYWHERE FROM A QUARTER OF AN INCH TO AROUND THREE QUARTERS OF AN
INCH BY FRIDAY AFTERNOON. WITH ALREADY SATURATED SOILS…EXPECT
SOME MINOR FLOODING OF FIELDS AND LOW LYING AREAS AGAIN WHILE
RIVER LEVELS RISE A BIT MORE BY FRIDAY MORNING. THE ARRIVAL OF
MORE RAIN AND SNOW ARE DUE TO AN UPPER LEVEL STORM SYSTEM
GATHERING OVER CALIFORNIA AND ARIZONA.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

DAILY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS CAN BE EXPECTED THROUGH THE
MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK AS A SERIES OF WEATHER DISTURBANCES PASS OVER
COLORADO. LATE DAY STORMS ON FRIDAY MAY PRODUCE LOCALLY HEAVY
RAINFALL AND HAIL…POSSIBLY LEADING TO HIGHER FLOWS ON CREEKS AND
STREAMS IN THE WELD AND MORGAN COUNTY AREAS.
