Cameron Area Snow Pack Report

April 24, 2018 By Camp Falbo

Boaters and Anglers,
Despite a dry winter down here, and throughout other parts of the State, Cameron Pass area has had a good winter. This is an update to perk your interest pre-run off.

SNOTEL report at Joe Wright:
April 22, 2017- 50″ Snow Depth; 17″ Snow Water Equivalent (roughly the amount of water in the snow pack)
April 22, 2018- 69″ Snow Depth; 23.6″ Snow Water Equivalent

So… with almost 20″ more in the snowpack, it’s carrying greater than 6″ more water.

Hoping for a great spring run off. Look for the Poudre Rock Report to resume daily reports soon. Coming to a computer near you!

September 13, 2017 By Camp Falbo

Pine view still holding up. Not sure where the water is going, or why. There is more water in FoCo than at the mouth, which means they must still be dropping Horsetooth, and bringing water down the canyon.

Hewlett: Stage: 3.23 Feet; Flow: 624.1 Cubic Feet per Second
Mouth: Stage: 3.4 Feet; Flow: 208 Cubic Feet per Second
Town: 267 Cubic Feet per Second

Have fun and be safe!

Currently 91*F, partly cloudy and boatable. If you haven’t stowed your gear yet… The Riv’s a calling. Thank you Chris Fabian for the notice on the webs and the shout out! I have been working since Thursday and haven’t been home to notice the spike!

They are moving water around like crazy!

Hewlett: 674 cfs (from Fabian’s post, FoCo site temp down)
Mouth: 227 cfs
Town: 289 cfs

Enjoy

Getting hard to see the rock this early in the morn. Usual sign we have reached or are about to reach the end of reporting for boating season 2017!

It has been a great season.
