Planned releases out of Long Draw reservoir and Chambers Lake later today should increase flows in the Big South and the main stem of the Poudre by the weekend, and on through the middle of next week. See related post on Mountainbuzz for details:

Dancing on the bar, we are up…a tad. Currently 60.8˚F, sunny and breezy. NOAA expects- Today: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 76. Breezy, with a north northwest wind between 7 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Tonight: A 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 50. North wind around 6 mph becoming calm.

Holding steady. Currently 68.9˚F, sunny and calm. NOAA- This Afternoon: Partly sunny, with a high near 68. East wind between 3 and 5 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 45. East wind at 7 mph becoming west northwest.

Big South is in my people. The gate on the other hand is locked. Got to earn your boofs but it’s worth every flatwater stroke and bushwhacking step across Barnes Meadow and over the low saddle to Prime time. Quite a bit of new wood. Nothing totally blocking the channel except near the bottom just above The Rush in the flatwater below an island. A couple however are nearly riverwide and require a very far skirt near shore. Specifically one a few drops below Slideways. Got to get it while you can!

Pretty much the same as yesterday. Was 43˚F at 0630. NOAA expects- Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. Breezy, with a northwest wind between 13 and 18 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 42. Breezy, with a northwest wind between 14 and 17 mph becoming calm. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph.
