Pine View 5.0 at 1000

June 29, 2011 By frenchy

Bouncy line at the Rock, but I’ll go with 5 this morning. Currently 79.4F, partly cloudy and calm. Poudre Park WX: Today: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 94. West southwest wind between 8 and 13 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph.

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. South wind 6 to 11 mph becoming west.

NOAA is expecting highs in the upper 80’s and low 90’s through the weekend. With 29″ of snow left (15″ SWE), we might just get to the season’s peak yet. Keep your fingers crossed and an eye on the Riv.

On another note- don’t believe what you read in the papers. The Riv is NOT closed to rafting. The poudre is closed to tubing, not rafting or kayaking. All 5 companies are open and floatin’. And the at these levels the Riv is…”fun”.
