I haven’t made it up to the Rock yet. But here are the rest of the numbers. Since all the flows look quite close to yesterday I am going to guess the Rock to be around 1.4-1.5.

Today’s expected Wx: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly sunny, with a high near 59. West northwest wind 8 to 14 mph becoming north in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 37. North northwest wind 8 to 13 mph becoming light west. Winds could gust as high as 17 mph.

I have an interesting Tid Bit to share with y’all. Facebook alerted my companions and I that one year ago today was the first trip out on Luke (our 14’er) on the Poudre last season. Today it was way too low. So here’s a comparison of conditions from one year ago to today- and what a difference the Wx can make!!

And of interest, but not historically posted here on the Rock Report is Lake Irene. She flows into the Big South and is 20″ higher than last year, with 71″ of snow accumulation as of today!! Long Draw and Hourglass Lakes also have more snow than last year.

So, while the cooler and wetter spring has delayed the start of Run-Off… It looks like we will have big water and a longer season starting soon- Real Soon! Happy Boating and Stay Safe out there.

Currently 40˚F, and overcast. Temps are anticipated to rise and the sun should be coming out this weekend. I still hold Monday may be the beginning of the start of Spring Run-Off. (If not Monday, shortly thereafter.)

Back up to season high of 1.4! Currently 39˚F, overcast and raining! 80% Chance for Snow showers tomorrow, FYI. With a high in Poudre Park of37˚F. Looking at the predicted Wx for the next four days, I anticipate Monday being the beginning of our Spring Run-Off!
