Happy 147th Birthday Colorado. On this day in 1876 we became a state! After its first bid for statehood was vetoed by President Andrew Johnson, Colorado entered the Union on August 1, 1876, the year the United States celebrated its centennial. Thus, the thirty-eighth state is known as the Centennial State.

Currently 61˚F, damp and overcast. The Riv is dark chocolate brown! Another 1/2″ rain at the Rustic Gage. However, this bump to 2.4 and the color of the Riv indicates we got a whole lot more than that, and probably over the Cameron Peak Burn Scar! Watch for debris!!

River is Chocolate Brown this morning. We got nothing but a drizzle here at Camp Falbo, but there was some serious rain up canyon. Rustic Gage shows 0.67″ overnight! As usual, look out for debris and logs.
