STRAINER WARNING!!
There is a serious strainer near Clair’s Rock. Per Mad Dog Maddox, There is a significant strainer left of Clair’s Rock. DO NOT attempt to run left of Clair’s. It’s a totally sketch strainer that can’t be seen from above, but visible from below. It caught a kayaker recently, fortunately with good resolve.
For those who are unfamiliar with the run, Clair’s Rock is in the section of river at Ouzel Picnic Area, just below Devil’s Staircase. It is in the lower section of rapids just below Ansel Watrous.
