I learned from the great Maddox why the Riv has experienced such a precipitous drop off. Apparently we are working on a kill off of non-native species in the upper reaches of our watershed. So, effectively we are looking at a complete kill off of all, and reintroduction of preferred native fish. To do this, they shut off the spigot. I guess the conveyance from Poudre Lake to the main stem of the Poudre will be the next target. Fingers crossed the mission is successful.
