Car in River – Middle Narrows

July 12, 2023 By RMA

At approximately mile marker 104 on highway 14 there is a blue Toyota sedan that is in the middle of the Poudre River.  The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office- Emergency Services Unit is working with Colorado State Patrol and Colorado Dept. of Transportation with plans on removing the vehicle from the water.  Due to the location and current water levels, responders are currently unable to remove the vehicle safely, therefore, it will remain in place until further notice.  Responders are waiting for the water levels to drop and a time that the highway can be temporarily closed for extraction.  All of the area Dispatch Centers are aware of the situation, so please do not call 911.
