Help fund the Poudre Whitewater Park!

December 1, 2014 By Camp Falbo

Hey all, we are starting our fundraising for the Poudre Whitewater Park! We are now looking for donors both large and small to help out. If you or anyone you know would like to donate to the cause, please help out!

City council has already approved this project, but it still needs to be funded. Please help us realize the dream of a city that stands apart from the rest with this beautiful addition to an already amazing place to live. Click Donate and make the Whitewater Park a reality.*

A short letter with information on the park and links is available: here. Please distribute to all you think could be interested.

*To have your gift benefit from the Colorado Gives Day statewide $1 million incentive fund, donate on Tuesday, Dec. 9th or schedule your donation to occur on that date. In addition to the statewide $1 million incentive fund, Colorado Gives Day gifts made to Larimer County nonprofits may also benefit from local prizes and awards that increase the value of those donations.

(To schedule your donation in advance of the big day, simply click the Donate link and then select the “CO Gives Day” button as you fill out your information. Your donation will automatically be processed on December 9th.)

More information about the project can be found at http://poudrewhitewaterpark.com.

As a last reminder, if you haven’t voted for the Fort Collins budget please do so at the link below. A word of caution, they report it will close on June 30, so it may or may not be accessible by the time you read this (my bad, meant to post this yesterday).

Proposed services for 2015-2016: 2015-2016 budget: City of Fort Collins

There will be a City Council budget session July 8th. If you support the proposed whitewater park, please send comments on why you support it and what it’s benefits would be to the cityleaders@fcgov.com. Let’s continue to show the Fort Collins Council how much of the community supports building a whitewater park!

Thanks to all of you who have supported this project. Let’s keep the support and positive comments going! For the latest info and ways to support the whitewater park, please visit us at Poudre Whitewater Park

Fort Collins Whitewater Park is up for budget consideration!

June 4, 2014 By frenchy

Good News about the Fort Collins Whitewater Park effort! A lot of hard work has gone into convincing the City that we need this in our town. A big thank you to each and every person that wrote emails to cityleaders@fcgov.com, talked with city leaders, and/or otherwise got the word out and showed your support for it.

As a result of all of the hard work, the whitewater park is officially up for budget consideration for 2015 and 2016! We now need your help with getting it fully approved. Please go this website:

Proposed services for 2015-2016: 2015-2016 budget: City of Fort Collins

Select the “Green” button on item 21.1 if you approve the Poudre River Downtown Project, which includes the whitewater park. Clicking the description will show a “kayak park” as item 4 in the list of improvements. The total cost described in the description include building the park, the hardscaping, and other land improvements for the entire section between College and the BNSF railway.

You can select 5 green lights, and 5 red lights, then submit your comments below and click Submit.

Thanks for your time, please visit us at Poudre Whitewater Park for the latest as well as to show your support.
