Currently 45.2F, overcast and calm. The sun looks like it wants to burn through the clouds, but we’ll see. Wx for Poudre Park: Today: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 60. South southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

What was suspiciously looking like a huge runoff in the making is becoming more of a certainty. We continue to grow the snowpack water content on Cameron Pass to historic highs, and we’re looking at yet another big weather week starting Wednesday. Things should stay cool… pushing the runoff closer and closer to the summer heat and the potential for a super high peak. Better go rinse off those dancing shoes…

OK, false alarm on the “game on” post last week. But damn that looked real! Fortunately this stalled-out storm has also come with cold Wx in the high country. Otherwise I wouldn’t be writing this post, I’d be filling sand bags.
